The Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce during the last decade, has contributed over $90,000 to support the community. We are proud of the work we do to provide continuing support of our businesses, city, its schools, and the surrounding area. We are excited for this year's joint effort with the Child Welfare Board which will benefit both programs. The Chamber will continue to support our businesses through advertising, th Saint Jo School District for scholarships and equipment, Saint Jo’s 4th of July celebration, Youth League, Preservation Society, Easy Street Animal Shelter, along with other area organizations.
The Montague County Child Welfare Board is composed of volunteers who help abused and neglected children in Montague County by meeting their needs for health, education, and welfare. Extensive training and counseling is provided at the Child Welfare Board's House in Bowie for children, parents, and foster parents. Without the support and help of our county's citizens, we would not be able to provide the extent of services we give to these children. Friends and neighbors have been fantastic in supporing our efforts to fight the drugs, abuse, and neglect that so sadly impacts these children.
